The Elliott House

This 1880s architectural masterpiece is NAMED For RALPH ELLIOTT WHO REHABILITATED THE PROPERTY AFTER THE CIVIL WAR.

During its use as a rice plantation, this building would have served as the main quarters of the property owners. It holds a formal dining room, living room and den for guests to enjoy as well as three, unique bedrooms. A traditional, European garden and a wine cellar sit adjacent to the building.

King George Suite

Named after King George III who originally granted the land for Grove Point to James E. Powell in 1774. This room was added in the 1940s by George Mercer for his son and is the largest suite at Grove Point. Antique accents provide an authentic historical experience. The suite houses a king-sized bed, private indoor and outdoor sitting areas and a full shower/bath.

Palm Suite

The Elliott House was originally built in the 1880s with a palm allée planted in the front as an extravagant welcome. This suite still overlooks this pathway adorned with trees and shrubs. The suite houses two queen sized-beds, an original fireplace, a full bathroom with walk-in shower and private water closet. Do you dare to ask the staff: “Who is Julianna?”

Garden Suite

Named for the views of Cheves garden seen through the large windows, this suite is perfect for soaking in the sights. Several large live oaks, Georgia’s state tree, are rooted in close view and cradle the foreground of vast marshes. The suite houses two queen sized-beds, a full bathroom with walk-in shower and private water closet.
